From Cyprus, Paul and Barnabas went to Pisidian Antioch to the synagogue where Paul was invited to preach. He started with the Jewish scriptures and went on to explain that Jesus fulfilled the Messianic promises. Gentiles were also present. There was a division amongst the Jews but a church was established.

The leaders of the church in Antioch send out Barnabas and Paul on a mission to the Gentiles. They go to Cyprus first and preach. The proconsul believes but there is spiritual opposition from Elymas the sorcerer. A miracle occurs.

Peter travelled to the churches in Judea. In Lydda, he healed Ananias from paralysis and in Joppa, he raised Dorcas from death through the name of Jesus.

Paul preached in Damascus for a short time and then spent three years away from people before he went to Jerusalem to meet with the Apostles. He met with opposition from the Jews but also the church in Jerusalem until Barnabas built bridges between Paul and the Apostles. He had to leave Damascus and then Jerusalem and went to Caesarea and then Tarsus.

Following the martyrdom of Stephen, Saul led the persecution of the church in Jerusalem and many Christians left and went to Judea and Samaria. Philip begins his work as an evangelist and many Samaritans believe.

Jesus commissions the Apostles to go, to make disciples, to baptise, to teach, and to go to all the nations of the earth.

Jesus heals a mixed group of ten lepers - both Jew and Samaritan - but only one Samaritan returns to thank Jesus. They were sent to show themselves to the priests in Jerusalem to prove their healing which would in turn point to Jesus as the healer.

Jesus ends his teaching on church community with a dramatic parable to teach the need to forgive - from the heart.

There needs to be clear discipline procedures in the church community to deal with Christians who continue to sin.

Everyone is important to God, and he cares about each individual, just as the shepherd leaves the 99 to find the lost one.
