Peter travelled to the churches in Judea. In Lydda, he healed Ananias from paralysis and in Joppa, he raised Dorcas from death through the name of Jesus.

The second part of Jesus in Bethany where he raised Lazarus from the dead - a messianic sign right near Jerusalem with a mixed reception.

Jesus' friend Lazarus was ill and then died. Martha and Mary had sent for Jesus but he did not arrive before he died. Jesus weeps for him.

Mary chooses to establish her relationship with Jesus whereas Martha takes on herself the responsibility to cater for him and his disciples. Jesus commends Mary.

During the Passover preparations Jesus is anointed by Mary in Bethany.  In showing her devotion she prepares Jesus' body for burial. Judas' reaction is to leave the meal to consort with the Jewish leaders.
