Paul states that government is God’s plan for society. Despite the different forms of government, Christians should respect and honour those in authority who are under God’s sovereignty. Christians should pay their taxes and pray for those in authority.

Paul gives his testimony to King Agrippa, Festus and others. They react against what he tells them but do not think he has done anything illegal but Paul has claimed the right to be tried by Caesar.

The Roman commander organises a debate between Paul and the Sanhedrin to clarify the situation. It causes more problems as the High Priest and Paul get angry and the Sanhedrin argues with itself - between the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Paul is taken back into prison.

Paul travels through Ptolemais to Caesarea where he meets up with Peter. Different forms of prophecy are mentioned. Fellowship is offered to Paul at every church community - even those he has not planted.

Paul moves to Corinth where he has a team to help him spread the gospel. They leave the synagogue along with the leader of the synagogue who had become a believer. Paul then travels back to his sending church in Antioch in Syria before his next mission.

Following a disagreement between Paul and Barnabas, they separated and Paul took Silas on his journey. The Holy Spirit hinders his progress in Bithynia and Paul has a vision of a man from Macedonia calling him to go there - to Europe.

On his way to persecute the Christians in Damascus, Saul has a very dramatic experience of the risen Jesus. He is blinded and shocked and waits three days for Ananias to come and baptise him, pray with him and confirm his calling. Both Ananias and Saul experience visions.

Philip is directed by an angel to speak with an Ethiopian eunuch who was reading one of the Servant of the Lord passages in Isaiah and needed an explanation of its meaning. The Ethiopian believes and is baptized en route to Gaza. Philip continues to be an evangelist in other places.

Ananias and Sapphira were part of the community of the church. They lied about giving the whole amount from selling their field which was in fact embezzlement. They were hypocritical in trying to gain favour by doing this. They died as a result. The church grew in awe and respect for God and continued to grow in numbers.

Jesus takes the Passover meal and invests new meaning in the wine and the bread. The wine symbolises his blood and the bread his body.
